Final project brainstorming
1. Look back at your very first blog post where you shared 5 things or people that inspire you. Have your sources of inspiration changed or stayed the same? What new creative resources have you discovered over the course of the school year?
My inspiration has stayed generally the same. The only thing that has changed is that happiness has started to inspire me. Seeing people happy has made me want to capture those candid moments. People watching has also began to inspire me. I enjoy taking candid shots of people and watching people and their emotions change and how they change makes me want to photograph it.
2. What three things are you most passionate about?
People-the way they interact with others and simply live their daily life, food- how it is made and how although its a necessity of life people are not willing to eat anything. I am also inspired by humor, watching people laugh and grin from cheek to cheek inspires me to want to capture those small moments.
3. How can you carry your inspirations and passion into your photography?
I can begin to encorportate the things I am naturally passionate about into my photos. I can photograph more people and food. By being inspired by humor, it makes candid photoshoots easier. By feeling a passion towards wanting to photograph these moments I can find models with pretty laughing faces and photograph them off guard.
4. What have you learned about the evolution of an idea over the course of the school year?
I have learned that an idea to me is something I need to investigate into great depth. In order to come up with a good idea I need to look at photographers blogs, or search through photography on instagram or Pinterest. Once I have seen an image done professionally I am then influenced to do something similar. An idea, for me at least, do not come naturally and this is why I have to look for help from others. Once I have something that I think I want to do I need to begin thinking about my props, models, location and type of lens I am going to use on my camera.
5. What have you learned about the creative process over the course of the school year?
Over the course of the year I have learned that the creative process does not come naturally to me. I struggle with finding ideas that I can make diverse and work into my photography. With this hardship I have learned that I need to take a well thought out idea and understand what I am going to need in order for my photograph to turn out the way I anticipate it too. By knowing that the process does not come naturally with me I know I have to give myself time and look up ideas that stimulate me creatively.

6. What assignments did you enjoy the most? Why did you enjoy them?
My favorite assignment from this year was the portrait session. I enjoyed this project so much because I felt as though I had the opportunity to connect with my model and grasp them in attitudes and moods that are not normally presented for the camera- for example a candid photoshoot.
